Job summary

The Calgary Alternative Day Options (CADO) program by Calgary Alternative Support Services Inc (CASS) seeks a Community Support Worker to assist adults with disabilities in a community setting. This role emphasizes empowerment, daily living support, and goal attainment under ISP.

Work is part-time, permanent, located in SW Calgary with shifts on Mon/Wed/Fri 09:00–15:00, 19.5 hours weekly. A valid vehicle is required to travel between client sites and activities.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in Human Services is required.
• Current First Aid/Emergency First Aid certification that includes CPR/AED is required.
• A Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sectors Search is required.
• A vehicle and valid driver's license are assets.

Responsibilities

• Establish respectful and professional boundaries while developing positive working relationships with clients.
• Assist clients in the development and monitoring of goals and objectives indicated in their ISP.
• Support individuals in identified areas to live independently or increase independence in the community.
• Establish and maintain a positive professional relationship with client guardians and other supports.
