Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a qualified Rehabilitation Assistant to join our Rehabilitation Services team in Dawson Creek. Under supervision, you will implement rehabilitative plans and assist with patient progression while supporting department operations.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet client needs and maintain high standards of care, with a Thursday and Friday day shift rotation from 08:00 to 16:00.

• Carry out rehabilitative treatment plans and monitor patients’/residents’ progression under supervision of the responsible therapist or designate.
• Support operational and technical functions of the department, service, or program.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet client needs.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client, and supporting the operations of the service/program. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs, and assists with monitoring patients’/residents’ progression under the supervision of, and as assigned by, the responsible therapist or appropriate designate. Under the general direction of the supervising manager, the Rehabilitation Assistant also supports the operational and technical functions of the department, service, or program.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Thursday, Friday, Days - 08:00 to 16:00
