Our client, a leading organization in the insurance industry, is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join their team. As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will be part of the compliance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What’s the Job?
  • Monitor and interpret new regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on business operations.
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries, conducting thorough research to ensure compliance.
  • Lead regulatory complaint investigations, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
  • Assess insurance policies, distribution guides, marketing materials, and digital assets for regulatory adherence.
  • Conduct compliance testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and workforce management reviews.
What’s Needed?
  • University degree or diploma in business, law, or a related field, with 2+ years of experience in regulatory compliance within the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Canada’s insurance regulations and evolving compliance expectations.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations, conduct impact assessments, and implement compliance strategies.
  • Experience managing regulatory inquiries, complaints, and compliance testing.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and compliance-related technology systems.
