Job summary

VetCare's Pickering Animal Hospital in Pickering, Ontario is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our skilled team. You will assist veterinarians with medical, surgical and dental procedures, prepare patients, and monitor treatments while delivering compassionate client care.

The ideal candidate has passed the VTNE or is eligible, is in good standing with the provincial regulatory association, and has completed a 2- or 3-year Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology

• Completed a 2- or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment as needed and prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery.
• Administer and monitor medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.
• Provide exceptional client service and support.

The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.
