Martin Veterinary Hospital in Etobicoke, Ontario is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our skilled team. The RVT will assist veterinarians with medical, surgical and dental procedures, and prepare patients and instruments for surgery.

Ideal candidates have VTNE eligibility, are in good standing with provincial regulatory association, and hold a Canadian Veterinary Technology Diploma (2-3 years).

Qualifications

• Must have passed VTNE or be eligible to write VTNE.
• Must be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association.
• Must have completed a 2–3 year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment and prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery.
• Administer and monitor medicines under veterinarian direction.

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association and successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.
