Job summary

VetCare Canada in Etobicoke, Ontario is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our established and caring team. We value compassionate patient care, teamwork, and open communication to support clients and staff alike.

As an RVT, you will assist veterinarians with medical, surgical and dental procedures, use diagnostic equipment, prepare patients and instruments for surgery, and monitor medicines under supervision to ensure the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

• Passed VTNE or eligible to write VTNE.
• In good standing with provincial regulatory association.
• Completed a 2- or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures using diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare patients, instruments and equipment for surgery.
• Administer and monitor medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.

Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association and successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $33.00/hr
