Using CMRITO Standards of Practice and Organizational Policies and Procedures, performs a variety of radiographic procedures at a technical level. Responsible for maintaining competency and adhering to standards outlined by the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). The department emphasizes a team approach to duties.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is required.
• Membership in the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences is preferred.
• Documentation of continued post-graduate education is required.
• Willingness to participate in departmental committees and meetings (e.g., Quality Management Committee, Safety Committee, Education Committee, Team Meetings).
• Preceptor certification for Mohawk-McMaster MEDRAD sciences program is preferred.
• Experience with Hospital Radiology Information Systems is required.
• Proficiency in computer skills within a Windows environment is advantageous.
• Previous experience as an MRT is essential.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures on equipment is required.
• Good attendance and work record are essential.

Hours of Work

Must be able to work all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis across all campuses.
