Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare’s Carecor unit seeks a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse for the Oshawa Transitional Care Unit. This casual, on-site role involves 8‑hour shifts and a supportive team dedicated to patient care in Ontario.

Under supervision, you’ll deliver care aligned with Ontario standards, maintain licensure and certifications, and contribute to a safe, compassionate environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse Diploma.
• Current RPN licensure in good standing with the College of Nurse of Ontario.
• Minimum 300 hours of Medical-Surgical/Long-Term Care/Transitional Care experience within the past two years.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate.
• Proof of immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella, tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B.
• Proof of negative TB skin test within past year or negative chest x-ray within past five years.
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under direction of the facility charge nurse or registered nurse.
• Uphold standards of practice per Ontario College guidelines and facility policies.
• Support patients' physical, social and emotional well‑being during 8‑hour shifts.
• Assist with care planning and patient education as assigned.

Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurses to join our amazing team working in the Oshawa Area for our Transitional care unit facilities. We’re ready when you are!
Under the direction of the facility charge nurse or registered nurse, you will provide care according to the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Standards of Practice of Carecor, and the healthcare facility where assigned - helping foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8hr shift. This is a Casual position.

• Registered Practical Nurse Diploma
• Current Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) licensure in good standing with the College of Nurse of Ontario
• Minimum of 300 hours of experience in a Medical-Surgical, Long-Term Care, or Transitional Care setting within the past two years
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B
• Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one year or negative chest x-ray within the past five years
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
