Job summary

Carecor Health Services Ltd. in Oshawa, ON is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team on a casual basis with flexible shifts.

You will support patients under nursing supervision, providing floor and observational care to promote physical, social, and emotional well‑being across 8–12 hour shifts. We value certification and experience, including PSW credentials, BLS and CPI where possible, immunization proof, and a readiness to obtain required checks.

Qualifications

• PSW certificate or Nursing pathway enrollment (or Nursing student).
• CPI Certification preferred.
• Clinical PSW experience within past 2 years.
• Current BLS certification and N95 mask fit test.
• Immunization proof for MMRV, Hepatitis B, and Tdap/Td.
• Proof of negative TB skin test within past year or negative chest X-ray within past 5 years.
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor and observational care duties under nursing supervision to promote patient well‑being.
• For each assignment, work in one facility for a full 8–12 hour shift.

Job Title: Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Location: Oshawa, ON

Schedule: Casual (with flexible shifts)

Hourly Rate of Pay: $21.50 - $26.50

Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Workers to join our amazing team working in the Oshawa Transitional Care Units. We’re ready when you are!

Under the direction of facility nursing staff, you will perform floor and observational care duties - helping to create an environment that promotes optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12hour shift.

This is a Casual position with flexible shifts.

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or enrolled in a Nursing pathway program or a Nursing student
• CPI Certification required (Crisis Prevention & Intervention Training Certificate) - preferred
• Clinical experience as a PSW within the past 2 years
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and N95 Mast Fit Test Certificate
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV), Hepatitis B, and Tdap/Td
• Proof of negative TB skin test within the past (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past 5 years
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
