Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse at Owen Hill Community in Barrie, ON. The role reports to the Director of Care and focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care within established policies and resident care plans.

You’ll work with a dedicated team to support residents’ comfort, dignity, and daily living. The position offers competitive compensation, health and dental benefits, and growth opportunities within a purpose-driven organization.

Qualifications

• RPN in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses (OCN)
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation or senior health is an asset
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care according to policy, physician orders, and resident care plans, within RPN scope
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care using sound practice principles
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment through teamwork and effective communication
• Oversee resident care with regular updates to residents and families; guide staff
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members on the unit
• Manage admissions, readmissions, changes in status, and ongoing resident assessments

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
