Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a temporary part-time evening shift (3pm–11pm) at Weston Terrace Community in Toronto. You will provide nursing care according to policy and the resident care plan, while delivering compassionate, quality care to seniors.

Reporting to the Director of Care, you will supervise the unit's support staff, coordinate with families, and participate in ongoing assessments to ensure resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse licensed in Ontario (RPN/LPN).
• Experience in geriatrics, rehab, or senior health is an asset.
• Ability to identify risk and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care following policy, physician orders, and resident care plans, within RPN/LPN scope.
• Deliver high-quality nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care with regular communication to residents and families; guide staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members on the unit.
• Admission, readmission, and changes in status with ongoing resident assessment.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
