Cogir Senior Living is seeking Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to provide planned, patient-oriented nursing care in accordance with provincial standards. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering compassionate care to residents.

The role requires current RPN registration, strong clinical knowledge, experience with seniors, and excellent communication and organizational skills. We offer onboarding, training, benefits, vacation, and recognition.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable province.
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience delivering care to seniors.
• Experience with gerontology, rehabilitation or long-term care is an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication and time management skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide planned, patient-oriented nursing care in accordance with provincial standards.
• Be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team with effective communication.
• Implement and evaluate care plans and communicate changes as required.
• Complete and ensure resident clinical assessments, care plans and documentation are up to date.
• Teach, delegate and mentor unregulated care providers.

How YOU make a difference

• RPNs are responsible for providing planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with the provincial standards of care.
• RPNs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families and teams with continuous ongoing and effective communication.
• RPNs implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plans and make changes as required.
• RPNs complete and ensure resident’s clinical care assessments, care plans and documentation are accurate, up to date and communicate changes as required.
• RPNs teach, delegate and direct unregulated care providers, providing them with coaching & mentorship.

What YOU bring

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable province
• Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge
• Experience working with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferred
• Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset
• Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Strong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft office applications
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
• Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
