We believe that recovery from mental health and addictions is different for everyone.

As a Registered Practical Nurse, you’ll collaborate with clients and provide guidance to the clinical and multidisciplinary teams to assess and advocate for the supports they need to achieve physical and mental wellness. Our Nursing Team works with community and hospital partners to provide excellent collaborative care, focusing on social determinants of health to help clients succeed in their recovery goals.

Successful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last six months. Interested applicants residing in London are encouraged to apply for one promptly, as PVSCs currently take about 2 weeks to process. Employment offers cannot be made without receipt of a PVSC.

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING:
  1. Starting salary: $30.01/hour (Level 1 of the Direct Service - Regulated Grid). Successful external applicants begin at Level 1, with progression up to Level 8 at $37.26/hour. Internal applicants are placed based on seniority.
  2. Work schedule: Ongoing relief hours, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
  3. Pension plan: Immediately eligible for optional enrollment in HOOPP.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
  • Provide foot care including assessment, treatment, and education.
  • Coordinate foot care clinics and outreach activities.
  • Sterilize equipment following infection control procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and follow maintenance protocols.
  • Coordinate injection clinics, administer depot injections, and conduct assessments.
  • Assist individuals with health decisions and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide health education, including mental health and symptom management.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and prevention.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and advocate for individuals to access resources.
  • Support individuals in developing coping skills and healthier behaviors.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY:
Police Vulnerable Sector Check Requirements

Must have a PVSC completed within last six months. London residents are encouraged to apply early due to processing times (~2 weeks).

Qualifications:
  • Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (proof required during hiring).
  • Certification in Foot Care.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Valid G driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in NVCI, ASIST, or First Aid.
  • One year of mental health experience.
  • Experience considering social determinants of health.
  • Bilingual in both official languages is preferred.
