Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for an existing vacancy in Scarborough. You will provide nursing care to residents under the CA, ensuring comfort, safety and dignity in daily life.

Reporting to the Director of Care, you will oversee care plans, supervise support staff, and collaborate with families to support residents’ wellbeing while adhering to policy and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is an asset.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician orders, and the resident plan of care within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to residents.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
