Sienna Senior Living in Ottawa-area communities is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join Granite Ridge – Stittsville. The role focuses on delivering compassionate nursing and personal care under the resident plan of care, aligned with professional standards and family communication.

You will work with a supportive team to oversee resident care, support staff, and participate in admissions and ongoing assessments, contributing to residents’ daily comfort and dignity.

Qualificações

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.
• You can recognize risk, provide compassionate care, and foster a positive work environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide nursing care per policy, orders, and resident plan of care within the RPN/LPN scope.
• Deliver high-quality nursing and personal care using sound clinical judgment.
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment through teamwork and communication with residents and staff.
• Oversee resident care, communicate with residents and families, and guide staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers and unregulated team members on the unit.
• Handle admissions, readmissions, status changes, and ongoing resident assessments.

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Practical Nurse is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
