Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse for Granite Ridge in Stittsville. This temporary full-time role covers evenings and requires close engagement with residents and families to provide compassionate, high-quality care.

You will report to the Director of Care and contribute to a team dedicated to dignity, comfort and happiness in daily life for Ontario seniors.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is an asset.
• Good judgement and ability to foster a positive work environment.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per policy, physician orders and resident plan.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care with sound practice.
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care with regular updates to residents and families.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated staff on the unit.
• Admission, readmission, status changes and ongoing assessments.

Rate of Pay: $27.67 - $30.54

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the Sienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.


• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care


• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff


• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff


• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit


• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who You Are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses


• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry


• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment


• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
