Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for a temporary full-time evening shift at Granite Ridge – Stittsville. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to residents, coordinating with care teams, and supporting families, with a focus on comfort, dignity, and respect.

Reporting to the Director of Care, you will ensure adherence to policies, manage resident plans, and supervise care staff while building lasting relationships with residents who consider Sienna

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per policy, orders, and resident plan of care.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care using sound nursing principles.
• Create a welcoming environment through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care and communicate with residents and families; guide staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated staff on the unit.
• Admission, readmission, and status changes with ongoing resident assessment.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
