Job summary

Nipigon District Memorial Hospital in Nipigon, Ontario, is seeking a casual Registered Practical Nurse to join our rural health care team. You will provide direct patient care, assessment, and collaboration with RPN/RN colleagues.

The role requires current Ontario nursing certification, CPR, IV therapy skills, and flexibility to cover days, evenings, nights, and weekends. This temporary part-time position offers a supportive team, opportunities for CCPN incentive, and a mission to place patients

Qualifications

• Must hold a current College of Nurses of Ontario certificate.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Successful completion of Medication Administration and Asepsis courses.
• Competence in initiating IV therapy.
• Good physical health.
• Strong nursing practice, skill, and judgment.
• Above-average skills in physical assessments.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
• Proven desire and ability to work in a collaborative (RPN/RN) team practice.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including superior verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the College of Nurses and Hospital’s Codes of Conduct.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Eligible for CCPN incentive: up to $25,000 for two-year term in eligible organizations.
