Job summary

North Wellington Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for a temporary part-time position at the Palmerston & District Hospital site. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care per professional standards and hospital policies, with opportunities to work across departments and in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will hold a current Ontario RN certificate, have strong communication and organizational skills, and commit to ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Current Ontario RN Certificate of Competence.
• BScN is an asset.
• Membership in RNAO and CNA is an asset.
• Current BCLS.
• ACLS or commitment to obtain within 6 months.
• Maternal Child Course or relevant clinical experience for exemption.
• NRP, or commitment to obtain within 6 months.
• Cardiac monitoring skills (ECG application & interpretation) or commitment to obtain within 3 months.
• Competent to start IV or commitment to obtain within 3 months.
• Competent in phlebotomy or commitment to obtain within 3 months.
• Defibrillation certification or competent in 6 months.
• TNCC recommended
• ENPC/PALS recommended
• Must be prepared to work in all areas of the Hospital
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Proven organizational and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to function as an effective interdisciplinary team member
• Ability to assume a leadership/charge role
• Commitment to continuing education and departmental involvement
• Satisfactory performance and attendance
• Satisfactory Reference Checks
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Pre-Employment Health Assessment

POSITION OVERVIEW:

One (1) temporary part time Registered Nurse opportunity is available at the Palmerston & District Hospital site of North Wellington Health Care.

This position will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care as established by the standards of nursing practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario and according to policies and procedures as set out by NWHC.

• Competent to start IV or commitment to obtain within 3 months

• ENPC/PALS recommended
• Must be prepared to work in all areas of the Hospital
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills both verbal and written

HOURS OF WORK:

• As per Department Schedule
• Must be available to work all shifts

SALARY:

$40.24 - $57.68 per hour
