CareRx Corporation in Victoria, BC is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to support LTC homes and retirement communities. The role focuses on accurate prescription fulfillment, final checks, and collaboration with a Staff Pharmacist in a non-retail setting.

On-site position with five-day work week and on-call rotation; compensation range $33-$36/hour, based on credentials and experience. Applicants must maintain professional registration and pass background screening.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset.
• Retail/Community/Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated computer or word processing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release
• Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment
• Other duties as assigned

CareRx is looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities in delivering safe and effective drug distribution services across multiple facilities. The successful candidate will also enhance their accuracy and efficiency in performing final checks related to compounding, compliance packaging, and other prescription fulfillment processes.

Compensation Range: $33 - $36/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate's credentials and experience.

Location: This is on-site role at our Victoria Pharmacy (570 Bay Street Victoria, BC) and follows a five-day work week with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.
