Job summary

CareRx is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities in Burnaby. You will assist with the preparation, packaging, and distribution of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and complete documentation across multiple facilities.

This on-site role offers exposure to geriatrics, palliative care, and mental health medications, with a focus on accuracy in final checks and compliance packaging, enhancing professional

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset.
• Retail/Community/ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release
• Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation Range

$33 - $36/hour. Actualpay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location

This is on-site role at our Burnaby Pharmacy at 8525 Commerce Crtand follows a five-day work week with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.
