Job summary

CareRx Corporation is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities in delivering safe drug distribution services. You will assist with preparation, packaging, and verification to ensure accurate prescriptions across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT), Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP), or Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset
• Retail/Community/ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated computer or work processing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release
• Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation Range: Actualpay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location:This is on-site role at our 17969 106 Ave NW Edmonton location and follows a five-day work week with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.
