Job summary

CareRx Corporation in Victoria, BC seeks a licensed pharmacist to join our on-site Victoria Pharmacy. This full-time role involves accurate dispensing, clear patient communication, and on-call weekend rotations.

You will work with a skilled pharmacy team, follow provincial laws, and maintain inventory while delivering high-quality care to residents in long-term care settings.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
• Strong ability to collaborate with health care team.
• Excellent organization, planning and time management.
• Knowledge of Kroll Windows application preferred.
• Willingness to perform injections and on-call rotations.
• APA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely and completely.
• Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
• Consult with pharmacy management for unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions.
• Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx pharmacy patients and home partners.
• Communicate with resident care team while maintaining professionalism and following corporate policies.
• Manage medication procedure/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations.
• Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
• Follow all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory.
• Participates in training and support for new hires and existing staff.

Role Accountabilities

• Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx pharmacy patients and home partners.
• Communicate with all members of the resident care team while maintaining professionalism by following corporate policies ensuring the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service.
• Manage medication procedure/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations.
• Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations which govern the practice of pharmacy at all times.
• Follow all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
• Assists in maintaining and monitoring of pharmacy inventory.
• Participates in the training and support for newly hired and existing pharmacy team members when required.

What You Will Bring to The Team

• Currently licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia ( RPhT )
• Proven ability to foster strong partnership with other members of the health care team.
• Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Kroll Windows application preferred.
• Skilled in critical thought processes and ability to prioritize appropriately.
• Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to work independently.
• Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality.
• Must demonstrate good listening skill and be adaptable to changes in job environment.
• Previous Long Term pharmacy experience is an asset but not required.
• Injections certification and APA certification preferred.

Compensation Range

$60 - $65 per hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate's credentials and experience.

Location

This role will be on site at our Victoria Pharmacy at 570 Bay Street and follows a five-day work week with required participation in the On-call Pharmacist weekend rotations.
