Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a Full-Time Registered Pharmacy Technician to join Janzen's Pharmacy - Bay & Algoma in Thunder Bay, Ontario. You will transcribe prescriptions, ensure patient safety, and supervise Pharmacy Assistants to support accurate dispensing.

  • Licensed and in good standing with Ontario College of Pharmacists.
  • Injection certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and accurately transcribe verbal prescriptions from healthcare providers
  • Ensure patient safety through accurate and high-quality preparation and release of medications
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
  • Process prescriptions by entering orders, counting, measuring, compounding, and packaging medications
  • Methadone dosing preparation
  • Perform final checks on prepared prescriptions for accuracy and safety
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Oversee Pharmacy Assistants to ensure efficient and safe prescription filling

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities
