Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Registered Pharmacy Technician to join Sandstone Pharmacies Mckenzie Lake in Calgary, AB. You will assist with dispensing, patient safety, and accurate prescription preparation. You will also oversee Pharmacy Assistants to ensure efficient and safe prescription filling.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and accurately transcribe verbal prescriptions from healthcare providers
  • Ensure patient safety through accurate and high-quality preparation and release of medications
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
  • Process prescriptions by entering orders, counting, measuring, compounding, and packaging medications
  • Perform final checks on prepared prescriptions for accuracy and safety
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Oversee Pharmacy Assistants to ensure efficient and safe prescription filling
