Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Regulated Pharmacy Technician for our Country Club location in Nanaimo, BC. This role offers an hourly pay range of CAD 24.50–31.50 with a Friday pay cycle and strong community focus.

You will handle prescription transcription, transfers, accuracy checks, and support for dispensary and front-store operations while upholding patient-centred care and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A Regulated Pharmacy Technician licence and are in good standing with the respective College of Pharmacists.
• Pharmacy dispensary experience or Kroll computer experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
• Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies.
• Ensuring that a prescription is complete and authentic.
• Ensuring the accuracy and performing the final check of a prepared prescription.
• Performing all the technical functions of dispensing prescriptions.
• Performing all necessary duties to support and maintain dispensary and front store (OTC) operations.
• Providing excellent, Always Customer First service.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Observing and directing Pharmacy Assistants and Clerks in the dispensary activities.
• Performing other duties and assignments as directed by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist.

Compensation

IND4 Compensation Details: $24.50 - $31.50

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
