Job summary

Save-On-Foods East Hill Centre in Red Deer, AB is hiring a Registered Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centred care and assist the dispensary team. You will transcribe verbal prescriptions, transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies, ensure completeness and authenticity, and perform the final check on prepared prescriptions while supporting front-store operations.

Licence as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician in good standing and strong communication skills are essential; prior Kroll

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Licence as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician in good standing.
• Pharmacy dispensary experience or Kroll familiarity is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions and transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies.
• Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic, and perform final check.
• Dispense medications and support front store operations, including OTC.
• Observe and direct Pharmacy Assistants and Clerks in the dispensary activities.

We are hiring for a Registered Pharmacy Technician at our East Hill Centre location in Red Deer, AB.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
• Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies.
• Ensuring that a prescription is complete and authentic.
• Ensuring the accuracy and performing the final check of a prepared prescription.
• Performing all the technical functions of dispensing prescriptions.
• Performing all necessary duties to support and maintain dispensary and front store (OTC) operations.
• Providing excellent, Always Customer First service.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Observing and directing Pharmacy Assistants and Clerks in the dispensary activities.
• Performing other duties and assignments as directed by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist.

You have:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A Regulated Pharmacy Technician licence and are in good standing with the respective College of Pharmacists.
• Pharmacy dispensary experience or Kroll computer experience would be an asset.
