Job summary

CareRx Corporation is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Calgary pharmacy team supporting multiple LTC homes and retirement communities, focusing on safe drug distribution and accurate dispensing.

You will perform final checks on compounding, compliance packaging, and prescription fulfillment, collaborate with Staff Pharmacists, and contribute to a patient-centered, efficient workflow in a non-retail setting.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
• Experience with KROLL Pharmacy systems in long-term care or similar settings.
• Retail/Community/LTC pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with preparation, packaging and distribution of prescriptions.
• Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information.
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and KROLL.
• Verify product accuracy and perform final checks prior to release.
• Maintain accurate documentation, confidentiality, and a clean pharmacy environment.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Role Accountabilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation,packagingand distribution of patient prescriptions

What You Will Bring to The Team

• Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)

Compensation Range

Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location

This is on-site role at our Calgary Pharmacy at 126-10748 74 Street SE and follows a five-day work week with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.
