Job summary

CareRx Corporation in Edmonton is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team. Under the general direction of the designated Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist ensures accurate and safe dispensing while delivering high-quality pharmaceutical patient care and ensuring therapeutic appropriateness for patients.

This on-site role supports a five-day workweek with on-call rotation for weekends and emphasizes collaboration, ongoing professional growth, and a strong community impact within Canadian long-term

Qualifications

  • Licensed with ACP to practice in Alberta.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed.
  • Injections certification and APA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications accurately, safely, timely and completely.
  • Complete daily tasks per workplace policies and procedures.
  • Consult with Pharmacy Management on unresolved issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx patients and home partners.
  • Communicate with resident care team while upholding professional standards and quality.

Job description

CareRx is looking for a Pharmacist to join our Edmonton team. Under the general direction of the designated Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing pharmaceutical patient care ensuring the highest level of therapeutic appropriateness for patients. The Pharmacist responds to a variety of scenarios including, but not limited to: verifying safe and appropriate medication administration, assessing and dispensing critical medications, rapidly responding to palliative care prescriptions and arranging drug deliveries with our delivery team.

Role Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely,timelyand completely.
  • Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
  • Consult with members of the pharmacy management team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions.
  • Provide exceptional customer care toCareRxpharmacy patients and home partners.
  • Communicate with all members of the resident care team whilemaintaining professionalism by following corporate policies ensuring the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service.
  • Manage medication procedure/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations.
  • Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations which govern the practice of pharmacy at all times.
  • Follow all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
  • Assistsin maintainingand monitoring of pharmacy inventory.
  • Participates in the training and support for newly hired and existing pharmacy team members when required.
What You Will Bring to The Team
  • Currently licensed and in good standing with theAlberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)
  • Proven ability to foster strong partnership with other members of the health care team.
  • Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Kroll Windows application preferred.
  • Skilled in critical thought processes and ability to prioritize appropriately.
  • Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to work independently.
  • Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality.
  • Mustdemonstrate good listening skill and be adaptable to changes in job environment.
  • PreviousLong Term pharmacy experience is anasset butnotrequired.
  • Injections certification and APA certification preferred.

Compensation Range

Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location

This role will be on site at our Edmonton Pharmacy at 17969 106 Avenue NW, Edmonton and follows a five-day workweek with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.
