Job summary

CareRx in Edmonton is seeking a Pharmacist to join our Edmonton Compounding team. You will ensure prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while delivering high-quality pharmaceutical patient care.

Under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager, you will verify medication administration, dispense critical medications, and coordinate with the delivery team for home partners. This on-site role emphasizes clinical expertise over retail, within a collaborative, supportive environment focused

Qualifications

• Licensed with Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) in good standing.
• Strong ability to collaborate with health-care team members.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of Kroll Windows application is preferred.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Injections certification and APA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to dispense orders accurately, safely, timely, and completely.
• Complete daily tasks per established policies and procedures.
• Consult with Pharmacy Management on unresolved day-to-day issues.
• Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx patients and home partners.
• Communicate with resident care team while maintaining professionalism and quality of service.
• Manage medication procedure/profile reviews with documentation of recommendations.
• Follow provincial/federal laws and corporate regs at all times.
• Assist in inventory maintenance and monitoring.
• Participate in training and support for new and existing staff when required.

CareRx is looking for a Pharmacist to join our Edmonton Compounding te am. Under the general direction of the designated Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing pharmaceutical patient care ensuring the highest level of therapeutic appropriateness for patients. The Pharmacist responds to a variety of scenarios including, but not limited to: verifying safe and appropriate medication administration, assessing and dispensing critical medications, rapidly responding to palliative care prescriptions and arranging drug deliveries with our delivery team.

Role Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely,timelyand completely.
• Complete daily tasksin accordance withestablished workplace policies and procedures.
• Consult with members of the pharmacy management team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions.
• Provide exceptional customer care toCareRxpharmacy patients and home partners.
• Communicate with all members of the resident care team whilemaintainingprofessionalism by following corporate policies ensuring the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service.
• Manage medication procedure/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations.
• Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations whichgovern the practice of pharmacy at all times.
• Follow all corporate regulations, policies, and proceduresat all times.
• Assistsin maintainingand monitoring of pharmacy inventory.
• Participates in the training and support for newly hired and existing pharmacy team members whenrequired.

What You Will Bring to The Team:

• Currently licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)
• Proven ability to foster strong partnership with other members of the health care team.
• Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Kroll Windows application preferred.
• Skilled in critical thought processes and ability to prioritize appropriately.
• Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to work independently.

• Previous Long Term pharmacy experience is anasset butnotrequired.
• Injections certification and APA certification preferred.

Compensation Range:

Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.
