Job summary

CareRx Corporation is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team supporting LTC homes and retirement communities in Parksville, BC. This role emphasizes safe drug distribution, final checks for compounding, and compliance packaging across multiple facilities.

The ideal candidate will hold RPhT registration in good standing, have knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems, and bring experience in retail, community, or long-term care pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT)
• Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset
• Retail/Community/Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated computer or word processing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release
• Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation Range

$33 - $36/hour. Actualpay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location

This is on-site role at our Parksville Pharmacy at 1176 Franklin's Gull Roadand follows a five-day work week with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.
