Interior Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Medical Inpatient 5South Department at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, providing client-centered care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

This relief full-time opportunity offers rotating day and night shifts (07:30–19:30 and 19:30–07:30) and supports well-being, training opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current licensure in good standing (CRNBC/BC College of Nurses).
• Experience in inpatient or acute care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care within the medical inpatient unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure client-centered care.
• Respond to changing health care needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Demonstrate professional nursing knowledge and evidence-based practice.

About The Job

The Registered Nurse:

• Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
• Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
• Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities

Employment Details

This is a Relief Full Time (1.00 FTE) opportunity until September 01, 2027, or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30 hours.

Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap health service area and is one of two Interior Health tertiary referral hospitals.

5S is the Medical Inpatient floor at Royal Inland Hospital.

Located in Kamloops, RIH offers high-level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24 emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic services. Specialty services include ambulatory psychiatry, elderly mental health, clinical nutrition, and lung health.
