Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse to join our GT8 Medical/Surgical Department at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, BC. This role offers a relief part-time opportunity with rotating days and nights.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering client-centred care and applying nursing science to evolving health needs within a high‑acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with relevant clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates client care in multiple clinical settings.
• Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Delivers client-centred care and supports clients and families through changing health needs.
• Applies nursing knowledge and integrates content from related sciences and humanities into practice.
• Relief Part Time (0.75) assignment until March 15, 2028 or return of incumbent.
• Day and night shifts rotating from 07:30 to 19:30 and 19:30 to 07:30.

About The Job

• Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
• Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
• Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities
• This is a Relief Part Time (0.75) opportunity until March 15, 2028 or the return of the incumbent.
• Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30 hours.

About this Location

Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap health service area and is one of two Interior Health tertiary referral hospitals. Located in Kamloops, RIH offers high-level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24 emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic services. Specialty services include ambulatory psychiatry, elderly mental health, clinical nutrition, and lung health. The unit is 30 beds – all private patient rooms. It has four high obs surgical/eight trauma/eight stroke and ten neurosciences (post op neuro patients, or neuro diagnosis). This unit is located in the new Gaglardi Tower 8th Floor that opened July 17, 2022. The building has state of the art technology and equipment, and private rooms that are clean and spacious.
