Registered Nurse (RN)
We are currently looking for highly professional, experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to work in a variety of long term and acute care facilities in the Little Current area.
Shifts would be early morning, afternoon, evening, overnight withconsistent hours and a set schedule until further notice.
Responsibilities
To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.
Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the residents including a comprehensive orientation to the home and the services offered within the home Ensure that resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe
Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of the residents
Requirements
Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Able to work with persons with Infectious Diseases
BLS Certificate
Valid First Aid & CPR
Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (MMRV) proof of negative TB skin test within one (1) year as well as Hepatitis B
Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Ability to work independently, or as part of a team.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to work the flexible shift times, depending on the facility; eight (8) or twelve (12) hours in length.
Must be able to ‘float’ from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
Must be reliable (once availability is given) to be placed at an agreed upon facility/unit.
Must be in compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy (provided for review upon hiring).
