Job summary

Ocean View Continuing Care Centre in Eastern Passage, NS, Canada is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee the nursing unit and ensure Ocean View’s standards for quality care, under the direction of the Neighbourhood Manager.

The successful candidate should have NS registration, at least 3 years of geriatric nursing experience, strong clinical assessment skills, and proven supervisory and teamwork abilities. A Bachelor of Nursing or Nursing Administration course is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nova Scotia Nursing and Midwifery Regulator.
• Bachelor or Nursing Degree or Nursing Administration Course (preferred).
• Three (3) years geriatric nursing experience.
• Demonstrated administrative experience and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a contributing team member.
• Knowledge of the nursing process, nursing diagnosis, and strong clinical assessment skills.
• Demonstrated supervisory and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work a 24-hour shift rotation on any nursing unit.
• Knowledge and experience in venipuncture (preferred).
• Ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis.

Salary Range

In accordance with the Collective Agreement between Ocean View Manor andOcean View Manor Local of the Nova Scotia Nurse's Union.

Rotation
