Applications are accepted year-round, but we encourage you to apply during your last semester of nursing school. Start dates depend on licensure, onboarding, unit availability, and your personal preference.
All newly licensed RNs with less than six months of acute RN experience at the time of application are required to participate in the RN Residency program. Newly licensed nurses must apply for the Registered Nurse Residency.
How to Apply:
Responsibilities include functioning as a Registered Nurse as defined in Iowa Nursing Regulations and Practice Act, providing nursing care for patients and families, and maintaining a practice environment aligned with the ANA Code for Nurses, the Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health-Des Moines, within the Professional Nurse Practice Model, in collaboration with other caregivers.
