Job summary

Bruyère Health in Ottawa, Ontario, is hiring a Temporary, Full-time Nurse for 12-hour shifts (day/night rotation) at 1.0 FTE. Salary ranges from $41.15 to $58.98 per hour.

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will deliver safe, patient-centred nursing care and support transitions. Fluency in French and English, CNO registration, BLS CPR Level C, and FIM certification are required.

Qualifications

  • Must hold CNO registration in Ontario.
  • BLS CPR Level C required.
  • FIM certification completed within the hospital timeline.
  • Rehabilitation nursing education or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective, patient-centred nursing care.
  • Assist patients and families to manage clinical conditions and transitions.
  • Serve as a resource for care team members.
  • Ensure care aligns with Bruyère Health policies and Ontario nursing standards.

SALARY SCALE : $41.15 to $58.98 per hour

What would my role be?

Reporting to Clinical Manager, as a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will deliver safe, effective, patient-centered, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care according to scope of practice and in accordance with Bruyère Health policies, procedures and standards and with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards. Your overall function will be to assist patients and their loved ones to manage clinical conditions and transitions, and maximize their self-care, psychosocial, spiritual, communicative and interpretive abilities. You will also act as a resource for members of the care team.

For information purpose only, please note that the position is currently aligned with Rehabilitation - E6R, subject to change.

Required :
  • Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate
  • Successful completion of the mandatory FIM (Functional Independence Measure) certification provided by the hospital within the established timeline
  • Fluent in French and English (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement).
Preferred :
  • Rehabilitation Nursing Education / Certification
  • Experience in rehabilitation
  • Membership in Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)
