Job summary

WeeCare Pediatric Home Health Care in Toronto, ON seeks a Part-Time Pediatric Registered Nurse to provide in-home nursing care for pediatric clients. The role requires schedule commitment for Thursday and Friday night shifts, with duties ranging from tubing care to medication administration and safety monitoring.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Experience working with pediatric clients.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past 6 months.
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI).

Responsibilities

• Provide G/GJ tube care and management.
• Provide seizure care and management.
• Administer and document medications as prescribed, in accordance with CNO medication administration standards.
• Monitor and ensure the safekeeping of medications and narcotics.
• Maintain the child's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards.
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in the child's condition to the parent/guardian and WeeCare.
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transfers, and use of adaptive aids.
• Demonstrate understanding of the child's needs and support the child in maximizing their abilities.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family.
• Respond to child and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including the child's equipment and belongings.
• Notify the supervisor of any concerns related to the child's safety, incidents, or accidents.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Part-Time Pediatric Registered Nurse in Toronto, ON.

Schedule

• Thursday & Friday: 21:00-07:00

Requirements
