Job summary

Halton Healthcare in Milton, Ontario, is seeking a Pediatric Nurse to deliver patient-centred care in a fast-paced acute setting. The role includes rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, applying clinical skills, and supporting families with compassion.

Eligibility requires current RN registration in Ontario, BCLS, and 2–5 years of paediatric experience; NRP within 6 months is required, PALS asset.

Responsibilities

To provide quality patient care to paediatric patients and their families.

• Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BCLS required at time of hire
• Minimum 2-5 years recent Paediatric experience in an acute setting (e.g. Inpatient unit or Emergency Dept.) required
• PALS certificate an asset
• NRP certification required within 6 months of hire
• Related courses in paediatric nursing preferred
• Venipuncture and I.V. therapy skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with families
• Breastfeeding certificate required an asset
• Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize.
• Good team player.
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record.

We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation

Hours: Various rotating 12 hour days and night shifts - 0730 - 1930 , 1930-0730 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs.)

Salary: $41.15 to $58.98 per hour
