Job summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a temporary part-time paediatric nurse to provide specialized care for children and their families in Milton. The position is 0.60 FTE with 12-hour day/night shifts across rotating schedules.

Responsibilities include high-quality patient care, family-centered communication, and collaboration with the MD Peds IP department. Eligibility requires Ontario RN registration and BCLS; NRP/ PALS are assets or will be pursued accordingly.

Qualifications

• Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• BCLS required at time of hire.
• Minimum 2-5 years recent Paediatric experience in an acute setting (e.g. Inpatient unit or Emergency Dept.) required.
• PALS certificate an asset.
• NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Related courses in paediatric nursing preferred.

Job Description

Qualifications

• Venipuncture and I.V. therapy skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with families
• Breastfeeding certificate required an asset
• Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize.
• Good team player.
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record.

Additional Information

Hours: Various rotating 12 hour days and night shifts - 0730 - 1930 , 1930-0730 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs.)

Salary: $41.15 to $58.98 per hour
