Job summary

Fraser Health in Maple Ridge, BC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in an acute medical unit at Ridge Meadows Hospital. You will assess, plan and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with patients, families and an interprofessional team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration in BC.
• Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect information to develop and evaluate nursing care.
• Plan, perform and evaluate nursing interventions according to the care plan.
• Collaborate with family and interprofessional team to implement the care plan.
• Coordinate nursing care, set priorities and delegate tasks to support staff.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes in the patient record.
• Participate in education, committees and quality improvement activities.
