Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department at Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge, BC. Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Post graduate course work in emergency or equivalent experience in emergency.
• Ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment and provide nursing care.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and interprofessional care team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, collect information, perform nursing diagnoses, and plan care.
• Collaborate with patients and families to develop and update care plans with the interprofessional team.
• Coordinate nursing care, set priorities, and delegate tasks to support staff.
• Educate patients and families about illness prevention, health restoration, and self-care.
• Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and referrals per Fraser Health standards.
