This position requires day, evening, night, and weekend rotations. It is located at 1001 Queen Street West.
The successful candidate must be a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. A current B.C.L.S. (CPR) certificate is also required. Preference will be given to candidates who possess or are pursuing a BScN and CNA certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop the Nurse-Client relationship and work within a collaborative, diverse inter-professional team. Effective leadership, decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required. Nursing experience caring for individuals with mental illness and/or addiction issues is necessary. The ability to work with clients of diverse cultural and social backgrounds is essential. Computer literacy is required. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
Please Note: This part-time, permanent position is a 0.45 commitment, which may change as per the Collective Agreement. Additional hours may be available based on operational needs. This position is part of the ONA Bargaining Unit.
