Job summary

The New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program (EMP) invites applications for a casual registered nurse to coordinate patient care in home and community settings in Woodstock. You will assess needs, plan, implement and evaluate care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to reduce hospital admissions and improve patient outcomes.

English language required; travel and on-call shifts apply. Experience in family practice, surgical, palliative or oncology preferred; valid NB Driver's license; CPR Level

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Currently registered and in good standing, or eligible for registration, with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick (CNNB).
• A minimum of two (2) years in the last five (5) years of specialized registered nursing experience with preference in family practice, surgical, palliative care or oncology.
• A good driving record with a valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License.
• Have a current CPR Level C certification or be prepared to obtain within 3 months.
• Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision making skills.
• Able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record.
• A high regard for confidentiality; and
• Submit a valid and clean criminal record check.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Nursing or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing;
• Currently registered and in good standing, or eligible for registration, with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick (CNNB);
• A minimum of two (2) years in the last five (5) years of specialized registered nursing experience with preference in the areas of family practice, surgical, palliative care or oncology in a patient unit that requires daily collaboration with various health disciplines and family members as part of reaching patient goals;
• A good driving record with a valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License;
• Have a current CPR Level C certification or be prepared to obtain within 3 months;
• Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision making skills;
• Able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record;
• A high regard for confidentiality; and
• Submit a valid and clean criminal record check.
