Job summary

Carecor Health Services Ltd. seeks dedicated Registered Nurses (medical/surgical) to join our Halifax Regional Municipality network and surrounding area hospitals.

You will provide care under supervision, following standards and facility protocols, supporting patients’ well‑being across shifts. This casual to full‑time role offers flexible schedules, with assignments typically lasting a full 8–12 hour shift.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license current, active and in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience, ideally medicine/surgical.
• Minimum 2 years hospital experience.
• Proof of required immunizations and a negative TB or chest X-ray.
• Current BCLS-HCP and N95 fit test certificate.
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide care under the direction of the facility charge nurse or RN.
• Support optimal physical, social, and emotional well‑being for patients.
• Cover full 8–12 hour shifts per assignment.
• Assist with vaccination verification and infection control measures as required.

Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (medical/surgical) who are residing in the Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding area hospitals to join our amazing team. We’re ready when you are!

Under the direction of the facility charge nurse or registered nurse, you will provide care according to Nova Scotia College of Nursing, the Standards of Practice of Carecor, and the healthcare facility where assigned – helping foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well‑being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8‑12‑hour shift.

This is a casual to a full‑time position with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Applicants require a Registered Nurse (RN) practicing license that is current, active, and in good standing with their respective provincial College.
• Transfer of an active practicing license will be required with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, preferably in medicine/surgical floors.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience.
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and hepatitis B.
• Proof of a negative TB skin test within the past one year or a negative chest X‑ray within the past five years.
• Current BCLS‑HCP (HealthCare Provider) and current N95 mask fit test certificate.
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire.
• Flexible to work occasional shifts that are considered urgent, last‑minute, or early morning.

Please note that, based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID‑19 vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
