Job summary

Manitoulin Health Centre on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, seeks a Registered Nurse to join an inter-professional health care team providing care to medical, surgical, obstetrical and emergency patients. The RN will also supervise in the Charge Nurse role as scheduled.

Starting wage is $40.24–$57.68 per hour based on experience; must have CNO registration, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, CTAS/OBS training with strong computer skills and prior Charge Nurse experience.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital experience to include cardiac, emergency care and acute care areas.
• Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or commitment to obtain within 2 months
• Completed CTAS (Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale) course; or willingness to obtain
• Completed OBS training
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Meditech applications
• Experience in the role of Charge Nurse
• Ability to provide regular attendance

Registered Nurse – Temporary Part-Time

POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of an inter‑professional Health Care team, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of nursing care to medical/surgical/obstetrical and emergency patients. The RN is also required to provide supervision in the Charge Nurse role as scheduled.
