Job summary

Backline Outsourcing in Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care across the Emergency Department, Acute Care Unit and Obstetrics, working to their full scope of practice as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

The candidate will cross-train between departments to build a diverse clinical skill set, with hours across days, evenings and nights on 12-hour shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays; hourly wage range is $41.15-$58.98.

Qualifications

• Current registration and Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• NRP certification, or willingness to obtain within six months.
• TNCC, Coronary Care - Level 1 and CTAS certifications are assets.
• Recent experience in emergency, medical/surgical nursing and special care.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and strong leadership.

About Job

We are seeking a dynamic, energetic and patient-focused Registered Nurse to provide care across the Emergency Department, Acute Care Unit and Obstetrics department. The successful candidate will work to their full scope of practice as part of a collaborative healthcare team and will cross-train between departments to build a diverse clinical skill set.

Schedule and Compensation

Hours: Days, evenings and nights; 12-hour shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays.

Schedule is subject to change based on operational needs.

Hourly wage range: $41.15-$58.98.

Full time/ Part time availability

Qualifications

• Current registration and Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, or willingness to obtain it within six months.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Coronary Care - Level 1 and Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification are assets.
• Recent experience in emergency, medical/surgical nursing and special care.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of and compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
• Self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Satisfactory work performance and attendance record.
