Brightshores is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time, temporary role in Southampton. The RN will promote health, assess needs, and provide comprehensive care using a range of therapies to maintain optimal function.

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes. Required credentials include Ontario RN registration, ability to interpret arrhythmias, and readiness to work Emergency as needed.

Formación

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility.
• Ability to interpret basic arrhythmias.
• Willingness to work in Emergency when required.
• ACLS, BCLS, CCU I or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent assessment and interviewing skills.
• Willingness to escort patients via ambulance services if needed.
• Flexible with time to meet unit staffing needs.
• Team-oriented with commitment to continuous quality improvement.
• Adequate communication with patients, families and healthcare professionals.

DEPARTMENT: MEDICAL/SURGICAL POSITION LOCATION: SOUTHAMPTON UNION AFFILIATION: ONA STATUS: PART TIME, TEMPORARY (APPROX. END DATE JUNE 2027) REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENT WAGE RATE: $41.15 - $58.98

Reporting to the site Manager, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the promotion of health and the assessment of, the provision of care of, and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means to patients in order to attain or maintain optimal function.

Skills/Abilities/Qualifications

Required

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility
• Ability and willingness to interpret basic arrhythmias
• Ability and willingness to work in Emergency as required
• Current certification in or willingness to obtain:
  • ACLS
  • BCLS
  • CCU I or equivalent
