Job summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled registered nurse for its Close Observation Unit. The role involves assessing and planning care for critical patients in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team and to contribute to exemplary patient care.

Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, intravenous initiation and maintenance, and adherence to vaccination and safety policies. Rotating 12-hour shifts cover day and night periods.

Qualifications

• Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
• ACLS required at time of hire and ongoing
• Recent Critical Care experience required
• Critical Care Certificate required
• Telemetry experience
• Intravenous initiation and maintenance skills required
• Coronary Care 1 or equivalent required
• Patient Assessment skills essential
• Familiarity with online documentation considered an asset
• Excellent communication skills and ability to function in a multidisciplinary team
• Strong leadership and teaching skills expected
• Must meet physical demands of the position
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record

Salary: $41.15 to $58.98 per hour
