Job summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care on a Close Observation Unit in Georgetown. The role requires rapid assessment and planning for critically ill patients in a dynamic, high‑acuity environment, with emphasis on teamwork and safety.

The position is a permanent part‑time 0.60 FTE with rotating 12‑hour shifts (days and nights) across the week. Strong critical care experience and relevant certifications are essential for qualification and success.

Qualifications

• Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
• Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
• Current ACLS required at time of hire and ongoing.
• Recent Critical Care experience required.
• Critical Care Certificate required.
• Telemetry experience.
• Intravenous initiation and maintenance skills required.
• Completion of Coronary Care 1 or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with on line documentation considered an asset.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to function as an interactive member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Strong functional assessment, problem-solving, leadership, and teaching skills required.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of this position.
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record.

Salary: $41.15 to $58.98 per hour
